The story
It started with a trader
and his dog.
I'm David. I started Aethon because most people building things today are chasing money, returns, and exits. Almost nobody is building because they actually want to make the world a little better. That seemed off.
I grew up noticing something simple — people complain about problems they could just fix. I'd suggest the easy answer, get pushed back on, and watch the problem stay broken for years. So I stopped waiting for permission and started building. Aethon is what came out of that: real solutions instead of complaints, action instead of words.
Step one is right here at home. 80%+ of Earth is still unexplored — deep oceans, subterranean caves, ecosystems we haven't catalogued. We're building toward submarines, mapping AI, and exploration tech that lets us actually find out what's down there. Space is on the list too, but only after we've really looked at the place we already live.
The products come from real life. Trading OS came from my own trading — I needed a journal that didn't lie about my edge. Furrzio came from Penny, my dog, who deserves better than the random stuff most pet brands push. Every Aethon product follows the same pattern: I need it, nobody's built it honestly, so I do.
Yes, we charge — software takes time, care, and real work. When we charge, that money funds the next thing: reinvest into what we're building, give back more as we grow, fund the real-world stuff (parks, smoothie spots, sports facilities, water filtration, sanctuaries), and support other passionate people doing good work. Free tiers give most of the value. Education is always free. If you can pay, you're funding the mission. If you can't, you still get the core — that's the point.
The end goal is simple. Give more people the chance to think bigger, do bigger, and live by the four things that actually matter — discipline, knowledge, kindness, freedom. We make stuff people enjoy using. We take it slow, build on trust, and let the work speak. Call us out when we're wrong — we're not perfect, and your honest feedback is how we get better.
The world is ours to use for the better. Aethon is the framework. If you've got something to say — hello@withaethon.com.
